This Privacy Policy explains how Sentience ("Sentience," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website, APIs, and hosted services (collectively, the "Services").

SentienceAPI is designed to minimize data collection.
We do not retain or store the content of web pages, UI snapshots, or agent data submitted to our APIs beyond what is required to process requests and operate the Services.

monitor system health and abuse.

We do not require you to upload application data, training data, or page content to use the SDK locally.
When you call Sentience APIs (e.g. snapshot processing):
Page data, UI geometry, and related inputs are processed transiently to generate responses.
This data is not stored, not logged, and not used for model training.
Any temporary in-memory processing is discarded after the request completes, except where required for:
abuse prevention,
rate limiting,
billing verification.
We may collect limited operational metadata, such as:
API request timestamps,
response status codes,
credit consumption,
anonymized performance metrics.
This data is used solely for:
reliability monitoring,
usage accounting,
fraud and abuse detection.
We do not collect browsing histories, page contents, or user-level behavioral profiles.
We use collected information only to:
operate and maintain the Services,
authenticate users and API keys,

Sentience follows a minimal retention policy:
Request payloads and page data are not retained.
Operational metadata is retained only as long as necessary for: billing, security, compliance.

when required by law or legal process,
to protect the security or integrity of the Services.
Service providers are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.

No system is completely secure, but we design the Services to minimize exposure by avoiding unnecessary data retention.
